Having lived in Canada for the past 7 years, I still use that phrase ‘ in South Africa we…’ Now when we go back to SA I definitely think of how Canadians do things, but I still prefer the SA way. Thank you for your blogs Jeremy. I really enjoy your writing.
I get what you mean, no amount of barbecuing here in Berlin will ever replace a braai, and regardless of the great cafés on my doorstep, I sometimes crave a kondensmelk koffie in an enamel cup. I’m so touched that you enjoy the journals! Thank you for reading!
